When American soldier Colter Stevens (Jake Gyllenhaal) wakes on a train bound for Chicago, he is unaware of his surroundings or how he came to be there. Sitting opposite him is a beautiful woman named Christina (Michelle Monaghan), who’s calling him by the name “Sean” and acting as if they’re friends. Soon enough – eight minutes to be exact – Colter (or is it really Sean?) and Christina are blown to bits along with the rest of the passengers as the train explodes into a mass of fire and debris. Oops.
