Scream 4 Finally Gets a Cast Poster

We Scream obsessives have been waiting for this. First we had the initial teaser poster, which was then followed by the familiar 4 poster and most recently the pointy Ghostface poster, but what we were all waiting for was the traditional cast poster to arrive. And here it is, via Horror Movies.ca. Well, an international version of it, at least. I wouldn't be surprised if the image of Sidney used changes simply because she looks a bit silly, but I do like that Emma Roberts is shown using her mobile phone.

It, of course follows in the footsteps of the original three posters, as well the rash of imitators that followed for similar slasher films in the poster-Scream world.

Compare those last three posters to the slasher genre posters pre-Scream and you'll see just one part of that movie's infinite influence.

Speaking of the influence of Scream, I've been writing an article on just that topic for The Big Issue so any Australian's out there should keep a look out for it! All these movies are mentioned and more.

It's nice they kept the same style from previous movies, but I don't like it. Actually Scream cast posters were always the weakest ones, so...

I also like Emma Roberts with her phone, Sidney looks weird, there's too much photoshop on Cox face and that shadow on David Arquette looks awful.

But look how much it looks like rubbish compared to the older ones! It's not photography, it's characters from "the Sims" videogame. It's awful, and it just cheapens the whole movie for me. Hopefully this goes away and is never shown again.

And Nico has no shoulder!

I love how MASSIVE Drew Barrymore's head is in the cast poster for the first movie... considering she's in the movie for, what?... a whole 10 minutes?

Emma Roberts head is photoshoped on Hayden's body LMAO! Look for a pic of Hayden on her cell in the movie and you will c. LAZINESS!

I like that it has more color than the other ones. But it's very photoshopped and clearly never intended for America to use. I like cast posters though, especially Halloween H2O's. I like the first Scream 4 poster they released with the white face and the number four.
