Star on Show


To be perfectly honest with you, I was expecting a poster that had this sort of big embrace floating in the sky above the still image of Abbie Cornish sitting amongst the bluebells, the image that has become synonymous with Jane Campion's latest film. On one hand I'm glad they haven't been that predictable and I like how the colours pop on this poster, but other than that it's not very inspiring. And on we go, really...

I actually quite like this poster. Much like the recent poster for An Education, I think the intimacy of the characters is beautiful to look at.

I was hoping for something a little bit more like Portrait of a Lady. Even The Piano didn't feel quite as unfinished.

I don't care for the An Education poster. If I saw that in a foyer I'd walk right past it.
