Lily! Allen! Is! Number! One!

Something is right with the world because Lily Allen's It's Not Me, It's You debuted at #1 on the ARIA chart yesterday. If it weren't only February I would probably be harping on and on about it being the album of the year. Alas, even I can't go that far. Nevertheless, congrats to Lily. She totally deserved this.

This is my second favourite track off the album, "Back to the Start". Nothing quite beats "Everyone's At It", does it?

I don't know when I forgot that Lily Allen makes music, and that it's music that I actually like - we don't see a lot of her here in the States beside the occasional drunken nipple flashing on a gossip blog - but I feel ashamed listening to the album right now that I'd forgotten how great she can be. I'm laughing my fool's ass off at "Fuck You" right now on repeat...

Yeah, I was worried about "Fuck You" since it's about George W Bush and, well, it's a bit late for that, but it works a treat. You can also apply it to anyone you generally dislike, too!

Yeah, I wasn't even thinking of George Bush specifically while listening to it, just everyone we beat in the past election... a little bit of a ha-ha-ha-we-won anthem, if you will.
