Blurg. This is, unfortunately, what I keep hearing. Almost makes you wish for another meltdown, huh?
It's a good album, it's just that it's silly as a "comeback" album when her last one - released but one year ago - was better. But, alas, Blackout was essentially a club-oriented album and, thus, not a legitimate album or whatever.
"Blackout" was awesome -- shame they never released the best potential singles off it.Yeah, this false "comeback" marketing is driving me nuts -- one of the UK papers even called "Circus" her first album in six years. Aaargh.Meanwhile, Britney will be appearing on The X Factor (our version of "Idol") tonight. So that means Simon Cowell, Cheryl Tweedy, Dannii Minogue and Britney Spears are all going to be in the same room. Is the world going to be explode?
I think that's queerer than Dannii covering "Xanadu" and Madonna sampling ABBA... combined.
I like Circus more, myself. (Did Blackout have 'Unusual You'? No it did not. Therefore it loses.) But it does annoy me that people are ignoring Blackout's existance. And it's very weird that two of the best tracks are only bonuses on the deluxe edition. VERY WEIRD.
Are you talking about "Amnesia" and "Quicksand" because that really is bizarre.
