When Bad Posters Strike: Revolutionary Road

This is the poster for Revolutionary Road.

Still awake? [src]

You know, it wasn't too long ago where I was asking for a renaissance to the grandeur of movie marketing. You'd think the reteaming of the two stars from the highest grossing movie of all time would be the sort of thing to get an advertiser excited? Yet all they can come up with is this? You can bet your arse that if Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable ever made another movie after Gone with the Wind then it would've seen an EPIC poster and not some epic expanse of white with nothing but a still strip and freakin' ariel font!

Needless to say, a lot of the big hitters for Oscar kudos are striking out when it comes to their posters, aren't they? Doesn't bode well for their For Your Consideration campaigns, which are sure to kick in very soon. First Milk and Rachel Getting Married, now this. *sigh*

Doesn't it remind you of Margot of the Wedding? (And we all know how much you loved that poster...)

If I didn't already know that was Kate, I wouldn't have known (except for Leo being there). At least their heads are normally sized (*coughAnnecough*).
