Shockingly, this poster for Charlie Chaplin's City Lights is not the most romantic design on the countdown. There is still one more that I think even trumps this astounding poster in the "aww, how romantic" stakes. Nevertheless, it's hard to deny that this poster just makes me all gushy. The woman's image in the sky as Chaplin (well, his silhouette) looks over the city of the title is just irresistible. The other "romantic" poster, a few spots up, is less hailed, but is an even more perfect embodiment of romance on a poster. You'll just have a wait a few days to find out what it is.

What a beauty this poster is. Every bit as poetic and beautiful as the film is.
