Dawn of the Concord

One of the best - yet most confounding - albums of the year for me has been Chaos by Design by New Zealand electronic outfit Concord Dawn. I have not heard any of their other work, but Chaos is quite the good album. But, there is one track called "Lost at Sea" that I think is truly out-bloody-standing. It is most definitely one of the most haunting songs I've heard and it reminds me remarkably of Angelo Badalamenti's Mulholland Drive score. Somebody needs to send these guys a letter asking them if they use it over the opening credits of their apocalyptic science fiction movie because that's exactly where it sounds like it belongs.
